High Chem East Africa Limited came into being early in 1999 as a result of major restructuring by the giant German Chemical and Pharmaceutical company, Hoechst AG. High Chem represents  major companies  and multinational concerns. We are involved in the distribution and manufacture of a wide variety of products both under our own brand and through contracted manufacturing. Our range of products cover Hygiene, Environmental Sciences , Consumer/Hospital Disposables, Crop Science, Animal Health, and Pharmaceuticals.

Our team of highly qualified and experienced individuals oversee the continued growth and diversification of our group of companies to provide better quality products for improved quality of life.

Pharmaceuticals

High Chem is the importer and distributor for products of AVENTIS PHARMA and AstraZeneca. (under High Chem Pharmaceuticals Ltd, 100% subsidiary of High Chem East Africa Ltd).

High Chem is the sole importer and distributor of products of DADE BEHRING of Germany and HEMOCUE of Sweden.

Following Hoechst AG's  decision to divest from the East Africa region, Hoechst East Africa Ltd. was transformed into High Chem East Africa Limited. with the latter acquiring its entire business operations including assets and stocks. Since then, not only has High Chem been able to  maintain its predecessor's sphere of business interest, but  also succeeded in adding on more business lines to its portfolio. Today,  High Chem is without doubt an important player in chemical, pharmaceutical and veterinary markets in East Africa.

Diagnostics supply all major hospitals, laboratories and NGO's. The diagnostics division of High Chem East Africa is the sole distributor of testing kits from HEMOCUE and DADE BEHRING

HEMOCUE

The kits from HEMOCUE are used for testing blood sugar levels. Glucose or Haemoglobin. Getting quick and accurate test results is often a problem.
