Cowboy's Group of Companies grew from a variety of diverse specialised companies first established in 1993, into the group that was founded in 2011 to amalgamate the different interests under one umbrella organisation. The Group supports projects for steel structures, bridges, building maintenance and paint works, bulk production of school furniture, extensive variety of equipment hire, container alterations and hire, storage facilities, animal relocation, and property rentals. Recently, due to the company's excellent and unique ability to support any project, Cowboy's entered the film industry with film production setup and scenery construction services and supplies. The company has its origin in the establishment of U-Bee Printers & Promotions in Windhoek in 1993 by Ulla Büttner. She and her husband Heinz (Cowboy), then bought CWW from Heinz' father in 1995, and in 1997, the dynamic couple started Rent-a-Shade and in 1998 Namibia Coffins. Rent-a-Shade and Namibia Coffins they later sold when the expansion took off, but the steel coffins they manufactured for international export is still part of the Cowboy's Group. In 2000 the couple bought a large furniture factory and started Powder Coating Industries, manufacturing large orders of school furniture for the Namibian market. As the business continued to grow, they decided to sell CWW in 2008, and moved their main location to Swakopmund in 2009. The move to the coast saw the establishment of Cowboy's Trading & Services and later Cowboy's Rental Solutions, while Powder Coating changed its name to AAA Trading Enterprises cc in 2011. At the same time, the business was merged under one umbrella called Cowboy's Group of Companies. Film Set Support Button Rental Services Button Container Alterations Button Steel Construction Button Manufacturing Process Button The name Cowboy is derived from Heinz Büttner, who everyone knows as Cowboy (in fact, even Heinz' dad was called Cowboy). The company's loyal customers and society in general know the name so well, that they kept referring to "Cowboy's Place" in terms of the business, so Ulla and Heinz decided there and then to call it Cowboy's Group of Companies. The dedicated Cowboy's team prides itself on its ability to get any job done right, no matter how large, complex or remote. Delivering exceptional service and quality projects is the cornerstone of the Cowboy's reputation. Cowboy's Group of Companies is capable of supporting a vast number of multi-discipline projects through utilising varied divisions and resources within the Group to support and complement each other. It offers the best support for your planning, design, development, construction and project management needs. Cowboy's Group has established itself as a powerful competitor in the construction and maintenance field and demonstrates outstanding capabilities through utilizing varied divisions and resources with the Group to support and complement each other. Cowboy's Group of Companies – We thrive on Challenges.

Spes Bona has long been a household name in Namibia and is best known for selling high quality vehicles and having established a sound reputation for honest business practice. Pieter Senekal, Managing Director of Spes Bona Motor Company has always had a zeal for business and his relentless efforts and a passion for the motor vehicle industry have led to expansion of the business at a high rate. Since 2003 Spes Bona has opened up a second pre owned vehicle branch, introduced Auto Armor and VPS to the market, as well as opening a Fiat and Alfa Romeo dealership. March 2008 saw the launch of the rental company called Spes Bona Rent A Car and Spes Bona Fiat / Alfa Romeo was launched in 2010. Pieter's father Jan Senekal was employed as sales manager for Terry's Motors who sold up to 120 used cars per month and was one of the largest motoring groups at the time. As with most new businesses launching, Jan did not have a huge amount of starting capital and when he opened up the first branch of Spes Bona Motors opposite Windhoek Municipality in today's Independence Avenue, he only had five cars to sell. Pieter still chuckles and says that a family friend who also owned a used car dealership visited the Spes Bona dealership and decided to lend the family cars on consignment to sell. Things weren't easy and everybody had to work hard to ensure the success of the dealership. Jan Senekal sold, serviced and repaired all vehicles and his wife Ina applied herself to a multitude of tasks starting from cleaning, book keeping to running all types of errands, both driven by the desire to build a future for themselves. In 1983, Spes Bona Motors moved to their own premises in Independence Avenue, where you'll find their Platinum Select division today. In 1988, after appointing a manager to run the Windhoek branch the Senekals expanded the operation with a dealership in Mosselbay. At 16 years of age Pieter also started helping out at the dealership during his holidays and spare time and then decided to work at Spes Bona full time in 1991. This led to the opening of a 2nd branch in Mosselbay in 1994, which Pieter ran. Ten years after moving to Mosselbay (1998) the Senekals had reached a point where it was time to decide on the future of their Namibian branch and to this purpose Pieter traveled to Windhoek to evaluate the options. However, true to his style, when he crossed into Namibia on his way up, his mind was already made up to make things work. Pieter resolved to turn Spes Bona into the very best used car dealership, and as they say, "the ball started rolling". Asked, what makes him different, Pieter is quick to point out, that he doesn't see himself as being different. His point of view on business is that one needs to do something because you enjoy it, not just for the financial rewards. He rather views himself as one of very few people who enjoy what they do, his outlook being that everything in life is controlled by your attitude and your mindset.

In October 1987 Kris Guttzeit founded the business Windhoek Hire Sales & Services. He started with 2 air compressors, one Nissan Safari pickup and one general foreman called Johannes Oranje being in charge of delivering and maintaining the compressors, as well as the small tools like mixers and compactors. Air Compressors The first big job they landed, was the hiring of compressors to the Municipality of Windhoek for the demolition of the old hostel in Katutura. The compressors operated for three weeks, 24 hours per day. The income generated was reinvested in the business with the purchasing of a concrete mixer, a generator set and obviously more air compressors, the core product to the corporation. During this period the spouse of Kris, Brigitte, joined the business to take care of the business accounting. During 1988 the corporation acquired two agencies, Transplant Namibia (Pty) Ltd and Form Scaff (Pty) Ltd. With Transplant Namibia, they expanded their business to mobile crane hire, transport, the moving of safes, and general rigging jobs. Form Scaff is a supplier of formwork and scaffolding equipment for hire or sale. Transplant Namibia stopped operations during April 2002 after which Windhoek Hire Sales & Services took possession of the 4 mobile cranes and the safe and rigging functions. Windhoek Hire Sales & Services together with its agencies grew from strength to strength. In November 2004 Windhoek Hire Sales & Services ts first branch in Swakopmund. focussing on the hiring of small tools like, compactors, generators, builders hoists, compressors, rammers, scaffolding, backhoe loaders, mobile cranes, etc. In April 2005 WHSS acquired the VIPAC agency, selling double drum Pedestrian Roller and Rammers. Both products are manufactured in South Africa and guaranteed to last in African conditions. In January 2010 -WHSS refrained from trading as agent for ELB Equipment, selling Earthmoving as well as Mining Equipment. It was decided to focus and expand our Plant Hire business. Windhoek Hire Sales & Services together with its agencies currently employs 45 people. The big advantage of Windhoek Hire Sales & Services is the variety of services and products it has to offer. It is very convenient for e.g. a construction company to work with them because everything from Mobile Cranes, Trucks, Loaders, Tipper Trucks, Excavators, Air Compressors, Formwork/Scaffolding, Backhoe Loaders, 30KVA Generators Sets, Forklifts, etc. is For hire under one roof by a dedicated, hardworking and honest family.
