Kambal Group of Companies is one of Sudan's oldest and most respected diversified business groups, with a rich history dating back to 1925. Founded by the late Abdelsalam Kambal, the Group began as a local trading enterprise specializing in the purchase and marketing of Sudan's renowned agricultural commodities, including sesame seeds, melon seeds, gum Arabic, and hibiscus flowers. Through a commitment to integrity, quality, and long-term business relationships, the company established a strong reputation within Sudan's agricultural trading sector. The Group experienced significant expansion as the founder's sons completed their education and joined the family business. Their expertise and vision introduced modern management practices and strengthened the company's organizational structure, enabling Kambal Group to diversify beyond domestic trade. This transformation marked the beginning of the Group's successful involvement in international import and export, connecting Sudanese products with global markets while supplying the country with a wide range of imported goods.During the early 1970s, Kambal Group embarked on a major phase of industrial growth by investing in manufacturing and establishing several factories across different sectors. These strategic investments transformed the business from a traditional trading company into a diversified group of companies with interests spanning manufacturing, international trade, industrial production, and commercial services. This expansion enabled the Group to create greater value across the supply chain while supporting Sudan's industrial and economic development.Today, Kambal Group of Companies continues to build on nearly a century of business excellence, guided by the principles of quality, innovation, reliability, and customer satisfaction. With extensive experience in agricultural commodities, import and export, manufacturing, and industrial investment, the Group has become a trusted partner for businesses both within Sudan and internationally. Its long-standing reputation, diversified operations, and commitment to sustainable growth have positioned Kambal Group as one of the country's leading private sector enterprises, contributing significantly to employment creation, industrial development, and international trade.

By 1987, three Public Health Dental Officers (PHDA) had joined the Dental Surgeon and there were five Chairs in operation.
