Petrotape (Pty) Ltd is a supplier of adhesive tapes, pipe wrappings and associated products in Southern Africa. Through a combination of manufacturing, converting, importing and local suppliers, we are able to supply a wide range of pressure sensitive adhesive tapes and their non-adhesive counterparts. Development of specialised adhesive coatings for customer-specific applications is our fastest growing division.

Within two years (1984) Petrotape expanded into the adhesive coating business and began to manufacture general purpose insulation tape. Shortly thereafter the product range increased to include low tack protection tapes and joining tapes. 

By 1988, the company was also converting and distributing PVC tapes and a few speciality products. It was now necessary to move in to larger premises and so the current factory on the same block was custom built. 

By 1990 there were four "coating-type" machines as well as slitters, rewinders and some speciality custom-made machinery. The mid 1990's saw a change in tactics with the company now concentrating on custom-made adhesive coated products. 

The pipe wrappings and tapes however continue to dominate our production as the company continues to expand both it's product range and customer base. 

With a dedicated staff of just under twenty at the Johannesburg branch, Petrotape is able to give customers the personal attention and service that tends to become lost in the larger organisations.
