GTS Africa SAS Group,  a privately owned company based in France was created in October 2001. GTS is positioned to be the 1st mobile VAS Aggregator in Central & West Africa. The core business of GTS in each country is the provision of unified shortcodes across all the local mobile operators, enabling third party VAS Providers to develop and market their premium mobile services over SMS & IVR, on revenue sharing basis.

The provision of special numbering service in each country is subject to:

    * The allocation of a block of short/long  special numbers organized in different tariff bands by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Board

    * Establishment of partnership agreements with each national mobile Operator for the activation and operation of these special numbers applied to each premium mobile service on revenue sharing basis if applicable.

GTS Africa is currently operates in Cameroon and Nigeria through its subsidiaries, and will progressively extend its presence to other west & central African countries, through creation of subsidiaries or local strategic partners.

GTS Africa is in process of obtaining unified shortcodes from the Regulator bodies in Ivory Coast, Senegal, Benin and Gabon, and establishing interconnectivity agreements with local mobile operators, before launching its operations in those countries.

GTS Africa has extensive international experience in the field of GSM mobile network deployment & operation and mobile messaging services.

GTS Africa has devoted significant funding towards “Research and Development” towards the analysis and evaluation of the technological platforms of various international suppliers of products and solutions for the provision of mobile messaging services, to fulfill the particular requirements of the African market.

Based on its 8 years experience and technological partnerships established with some key international players in the mobile industry, GTS Africa has designed a global VAS infrastructure for the development and operation of a wide range of end-to-end mobile messaging & content services.
