The extra virgin olive oil "River of Gold" comes from the olive groves of sunny hills and plains that Tunisian planted for centuries by caring hands and carefully picked the months of November and December, at the time where olives reach their optimal degree of maturity, harvest is manual to get healthy fruits and guarantee the production of Arabic.
The same day, they are transported in ventilated crates "Huilerie Loued" where they will be selected with great care. Then they will be defoliated and washed with clean water before being crushed and mixed. The oil will be separated from the olive paste by cold pressure in order to preserve its taste and flavour.
The extraction process is driven by a mechanical system made of stainless steel. The storage of the oil is made in vats sub-terraines ceramic to ensure to its customers high quality extra virgin olive oil with low acidity and a fruity taste.
In Tunisia, and more specifically in the Sahel region, whose name is associated for over 2000 years with the olive tree, symbol of peace and prosperity, family LOUED, Moknine, began before 1928 the extraction of Olive oil by traditional methods. They have invested in this activity their greatest interest and expertise and have continued since to develop this work by improving production systems to achieve the use of new technologies and modern equipment responding to the most severe quality standards retaining the authenticity of the product and providing related special care to the various phases of production.
