Soon the name was changed to technoCOM (Technology and Communication) as suggested by Chris' friend in business Fazila Jiwa The name technoCOM was refused by the Companies registrar in Dar es Salaam as it exists. Sitting outside of the companies registrar's office, Chris and his brother Mwita Zacharia had to find another name. compTRONIX Company was born.
Compaq Pentium II computer and HP 845c deskjet Printer was the first machines in the company . The company now has 9 Desktop computers,1 laptop and 2 Printers. Early shareholders of the company were Chris Zacharia (Founder/Manager) Emanuel Andrew (PC Technician), David Mutayoba (accountant)
