Recently, due to the company's excellent and unique ability to support any project, Cowboy's entered the film industry with film production setup and scenery construction services and supplies. The company has its origin in the establishment of U-Bee Printers & Promotions in Windhoek in 1993 by Ulla Büttner. She and her husband Heinz (Cowboy), then bought CWW from Heinz' father in 1995, and in 1997, the dynamic couple started Rent-a-Shade and in 1998 Namibia Coffins.
Rent-a-Shade and Namibia Coffins they later sold when the expansion took off, but the steel coffins they manufactured for international export is still part of the Cowboy's Group. In 2000 the couple bought a large furniture factory and started Powder Coating Industries, manufacturing large orders of school furniture for the Namibian market. As the business continued to grow, they decided to sell CWW in 2008, and moved their main location to Swakopmund in 2009.
The move to the coast saw the establishment of Cowboy's Trading & Services and later Cowboy's Rental Solutions, while Powder Coating changed its name to AAA Trading Enterprises cc in 2011. At the same time, the business was merged under one umbrella called Cowboy's Group of Companies.

The company's loyal customers and society in general know the name so well, that they kept referring to "Cowboy's Place" in terms of the business, so Ulla and Heinz decided there and then to call it Cowboy's Group of Companies.
