The SA Leather Academy offers three week courses to groups in Africa. The course content is aimed to teach novices in International leather product manufacturing skills. The Academy has been in operation for 30 years and is the owner and author of Leathercraft in Africa.

The SA Leather Academy, the ONLY trainers in classic handcrafted leather. We teach you to make bags and products to International standards outside the formal workshop environment. Our trainees come from Dubhai, Brazil, Belgium, Botswana, Zimbabwe and of course all over SA.

Included in the training is:
  • Free Manual on Leather Craft.
  • All leather used during the course
  • All fittings and materials needed.
  • Basic tool set is included

The SA Leather Academy (SALA) has been established in 1983 and we have been training crafters for the last 27 years.

The SA Leather Academy trains potential leather product manufacturers to enable them to work successfully outside the formal workshop environment. All product are made totally by hand including hand stitching
