Established in Gambia since1888, CFAO Motors (ex-CFAO GAMBIA LTD) is one of the oldest company in the and is part of the “smiling coast of Africa” history. Specialized in automotive, it represents major brands as Toyota, Suzuki, Yamaha, Bridgestone, Avis, FG Wilson and SDMO and also have Spare Parts and Workshop Departments. 

 
CFAO is also a company with industrial productions and trading activities through its CFAO Industries & Trading division & it is a well-known player in the distribution of New Technologies of Information and Communication, through its Technologies Division.
 
CFAO Automotive is the exclusive distributor for some of the world’s largest car manufacturers in Africa and the French Overseas Collectivities.
 
In 2008, CFAO Automotive’s turnover reached 1.764 billion euros and accounted for 61,6% of CFAO total turnover.

It is an importer and sole distributor of cars & related products from:-

• Suzuki: Alto, Jimmy, Grand Vitara, APV Panel Van, Carry Pick-Up.
 
• Yamaha: Motorbikes (off-road & on-road) ATV, Power Products.
 
•  Bridgestone Tyres: Turanza, Potenza and B series.
 
•  FG Wilson and SDMO

Did you know?
All British and French firms except CFAO closed down business and left the Gambia on the eve of the declaration of independence. At the time the company's outlets in Banjul provided goods consumed mainly by the affluent members of the society.
