We are always looking for new ways to reinvent and better ourselves and business!”Mike started out in the animal feed and nutrition industry 18 years ago, having come from an agricultural back ground. About 12 years ago he was asked to sell 500 tones of Refined Coconut Oil. Having never dealt with Coconut Oil before, he started to do some research. The more he researched the more he became convinced that Coconut Oil was a totally unknown gem and that the price to the public was outrageously expensive! He realized with the research that refined NON-hydrogenated and chemical free coconut oil retains its health properties! He decided to try and change peoples misconceptions on Coconut Oil and to make it more affordable and accessible to the public. Starting with 1 x 20 L bucket and it has been an interesting 12 year journey since.Mike’s son, Russell, also started out in the agricultural industry having studied to be a farmer. But the travel bug was there and it wouldn’t let him settle untill he had seen a small part of the world. He was very lucky to travel around the UK for a year as well as being able to work in the USA doing the harvest run. After coming back he worked in Mozambique for a time. The opportunity then came up to join Mike in the Coconut Oil full time while he went across to Australia to see how we could improve the business and bring new ideas back to SA.
