Dairibord Holdings Limited is a manufacturer and marketer of quality milks, foods and beverage products. The company is listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE). DZPL is one of the largest manufacturing and marketing companies in Zimbabwe with 5 factories located in Harare, Chitungwiza and Chipinge.
The Group results for the half year ending 30 June 2013 will reflect operational challenges encountered due to the plant and staff rationalisation projects, escalating costs and liquidity challenges in the market. The plant rationalisation project negatively affected product supply in the first quarter for Dairibord Zimbabwe (Private) Limited. The Board of Dairibord Holdings Limited made a decision to realize both the staff and plant rationalisation expenses in the first half of the year. As a result, profitability for the first half is expected to be lower than for the same period last year. Shareholders are therefore advised to exercise caution in dealing with their shares.
The company transformed into a holding company with four subsidiaries – Dairibord Zimbabwe (Private) Limited, Lyons, Dairibord Malawi (Private) Limited and NFB Logistics (Private) Limited. The name of the holding company changed to Dairibord Holdings Limited (DHL) from Dairibord Zimbabwe Limited (DZL).
